Here are some of your views on Jet's new album.

Duncan Fletcher: After all the talk about "the journey "it finally arrived from Santa on Christmas day! As I had anticipated what a truly magnificent album. Well done Jet you are still the best.

Rob Bradford:

Jet, Nigel, Paul (plus all of the other contributors)..."The Journey" is a magnificent triumph. Absolutely brilliant with not a 'duff' track in sight. 13 fantastic originals plus a splendid re-make of "Diamonds". I couldn't agree more with all of the commments posted here. Outstanding production, outstanding arrangements and outstanding playing. Definitely RI for 2008 with Jet's lead, bass and Fender VI sounds blasting out from the mighty 'wall of instro sound'. The 'old skool' vocals are absolutely superb too and really connect with the modern generation. Bravo! I shall have to revive my famous phrase of Jet entering "...in a thunderous cloud of panache!"

Best of luck for this project in 2008

Rob

Steve Hockaday: wonderful new cd Jet, my favourite track at the moment is 'Song For Tony'. Happy Christmas to you & all the team.

Joe Davis:

B****y brilliant! well done mate.
I am listening as I write. Congrats to all concerned, the best Jet album
yet!!!!

Best Regards to every one for Christmas,

Joe Davis.

Ian Tomlinson:

Here Are my Comments:-

1. In The Beginning--Great Production--The sweeping stereo "passes" are nice. Loads of different instruments in there.--Good solid beat--Good start to the Album.

2. San Antonio (Old Skool Mix)---Unique arrangement--Very unusual--It's a kind of "Pasa Doble" I guess.--Very good vocals, and another good mix.

3. It Bites.--Wonderful "Deepthroaty" sound from Jets Bass VI, complemented perfectly by Pauls mellow "Wah-Wah" Lead guitar. "This would make a good film theme tune"

4. Krakatoa.-- Very nice melody line--Its memorable---Nice reggae rythym-- Excellent playing by Jet and Paul.

5. The Journey.--Perfect synchronisation from Paul and Jet playing together. (or was it an "Octivider”?) Playing together...EdLove the vocals on the extreme left and right hand Sides of the Stereo Spectrum--(Another gem from Nigel's mixing desk)

6. Ignition-- Hey I love that echoey sound.

7.The Fourth Man----Great Tune--(Reminds me a bit of Besame Mucho)--Great sounds from all the players--(Another possible film tune -Me Thinks)

8. Hello Sid----Nice little "Novelty" number, giving us a taste of the studio atmosphere.---- "Sid" has a great blues voice.

9. Play it Down----Love the "Thumb slapped beating heart" bass line.--Thundering Fender VI lead sound by Jet--(Yes, thats why I bought the Album.)

10. Song for Tony--A fitting tribute to a really great drummer--The little "Old Lang Syne" ending is touching.

11. Shot To Pieces----This is a Showcase for Paul and Nigel, and they sure can "Rip It Up".

12. San Antonio (instrumental)---This features Jets unique six string bass signature sound once again, and the tune is very catchy Too.

13. El Vampiro---Just shut your eyes and all sorts of images come into your mind---I guess you would call this an evocative piece.

14. Diamonds----Well, I wondered how this new version would stand up to the original, and I wasn't dissapointed----The original arrangement hasn't been altered too much and the new technology has increased the audio sensation.

The Album is a Joy to listen to, and I can really appreciate all the effort that all you guys put in--Special thanks go to Nigel for the superb track mixing.

Gerry:

Hi Jet,
Just to say what a brilliant, brilliant new Album"The Journey".Fantastic music with the haunting "Song for Tony".What an emotional song, brought tears to our eyes when you played it on stage at Fareham. Diamonds is another with a twist of new, also brilliant. The whole Album i must say is being played in our household over & over again.San Antonio & Ignition also great tracks.
We would like to wish you all the very best for Christmas 2007 & a happy new year.
Best Regards,
Gerry

Terence Green: You made my day! new album sounds great .and the fender6 is not lost in the background .own a bass6 myself what a sound you can get , one thing can't find is flatwound strings. anyway keep on playing ...T.GREEN.

Carolyn Taylor: I gotta tell you this, my partner Malc recently bought a copy of the "The Journey". He told me it was part of my Christmas Box, that's a laugh, he has never stopped playing it, and even when he goes out he takes it with him to play in the car, by the time the cheeky sod gives it back to me, Nigel will have chapped lips! and Jet and Paul will have to re-string their guitars!
I really like this album, some great new sounds without losing Jet's style, my personal favourites are "Song for Tony" and San Antonio (Old Skool Mix) . So come on guys, get your Girl a copy for Christmas, but keep your hands off it okay!
Thanks for a really exciting Album. Merry Christmas to the Team. Carolyn Taylor.

Billy The Fish: Well done to everybody involved in the making of Jets new CD, "The Journey", it's the best CD I've bought for a long long time, and I've bought a few!! I think Jet sounds great, a bit of the old sound and some new too, what a treat. I say let "The Journey" continue for a long time yet, "The Geezers Still Gorrit!"
